# Maturable

> Maturable is an operating diagnostic for founder-led B2B SaaS companies. It assesses operating maturity
> across seven operating areas, identifies the one component currently constraining the business, and produces
> a focused Action Plan for moving that component to the next level.

Built by Paul Oggelsby, a founder, operator, exiter and SaaS investor. Maturable applies that operating and
investing experience as a structured method rather than generic advice.

## How it works
- Seven operating areas, six components each, 42 components in total: Revenue and Growth, Retention and
  Expansion, Profitability and Unit Economics, Strategy and ICP, Product and Delivery, Founder Dependency,
  and Operating Cadence.
- A quick scan of 42 questions, one per component, gives a first read. A deep dive on a component asks a
  further set of questions about that component alone and produces its confirmed maturity level.
- Maturity is a 1-5 model, the same five levels everywhere: Reactive, Developing, Repeatable, Scalable,
  Self-sustaining. A component's confirmed level is capped by specific capability gates, so a component cannot
  be rated above the weakest capability the level requires.
- From the whole-company picture, Maturable names the component that is constraining the business now, the
  wrong fix to avoid, and a five-step Action Plan for the next level, each step with a "done when" test.
- Where a founder's website is available, Maturable reads a small number of its public pages and uses what it
  finds to make the wording of the diagnosis and the Action Plan more specific to that company. This affects
  wording only.

## AI
- AI is treated as subject matter inside the model, not as a separate product layer: modern methods are
  recognised where a component's questions are about how work actually gets done.
- AI is used to make diagnosis and Action Plan guidance more specific to a company.
- AI never affects scoring, maturity levels, capability gates, or which component is selected as the priority.
  Those are deterministic and depend only on the founder's own answers.

## Status
- Maturable is a UK-based product, currently in PRIVATE ALPHA. The public site is a holding page and the
  product is available to invited founders only, so there are currently no public product, pricing,
  methodology or sample-report pages.
